Paul Bisson, EMBA, MHD

Paul began his career as a commercial pilot. From 1982 to 1993, he was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Cockpit Research Technologies, an aerospace micro-electro optics leader. In 1993, he co-founded ART Advanced Research Technologies, which developed a breast-cancer-screening device. Throughout his career, Paul has worked in 23 countries.
Prior to WinTerra, Paul led successful team efforts as a CEO to raise CAD $240 million (adjusted for inflation) in research and development funding. He was a board director with INO, one of Canada’s largest non-profit research organizations, and serves on the board of the Gatineau / Ottawa Executive Airport.
Paul studied corporate governance and leadership at Harvard Business School and holds an EMBA from the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, which awarded him the Trudeau medal in 2007. The award recognizes leadership, initiative, and contributions to the business world and community. He was also a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa, teaching corporate and public governance, business ethics and organizational behaviour, and still mentors EMBA students. Paul is 80% into his PhD in human organization systems.
